Dan Proft is one of Illinois’ sharpest political minds and has become one Chicago’s most-respected talk radio personalities. Dan was born and raised in Wheaton, IL and graduated from Northwestern University and Loyola University School of Law. Dan has run numerous political campaigns and served in various leadership capacities in state and municipal government since 1994. In 2010, Dan ran for governor in the Republican primary and earned nearly 8 percent of the vote.
Dan is a Senior Fellow at the Illinois Policy Institute — a free-market think tank in Chicago. He also serves on the boards of directors for the Disabled Patriot Fund, a non-profit that provides assistance to Illinois military families; a non-profit that provides private elementary school scholarships to disadvantaged children in Chicago; and Aid for Women, a Catholic life-affirming pregnancy center in Chicago. He is also a frequent editorial contributor to the Chicago Tribune.
