Tammie Jo Shults is the pilot who bravely flew Southwest Flight 1380 to safety after part of its left engine ripped off, damaging a window and nearly sucking a woman out of the plane. Surveillance video shows city inspector Melinda Power walking into Jaguar Power Sports and issuing a written warning citation. Employees say the store received a warning for illegal display of flags on the roof.
Feral cats are a big problem in Jefferson, Iowa, but some people found the city’s solution – allowing police officers to shoot and kill trapped feral cats – even more problematic. A city ordinance allows Jefferson residents to request a police-monitored cat trap and authorizes city police officers to shoot any trapped cats deemed unadoptable.
