The Supreme Court ruled in favor of a Colorado baker who refused to bake a cake to celebrate the marriage of a same sex couple because of a religious objection. The ruling was 7-2.

At a book tour event in New York, former President Bill Clinton tried to clarify comments he made during an interview with NBC News on Today where he defended his handling of the Monica Lewinsky scandal and said that he didn’t have to apologize to her.

 

Less than 24 hours before the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles were set to visit the White House, President Donald Trump rescinded their invitation, citing national anthem protests and boycotts from some team members.

 

The House majority could be in the balance later today when California voters head to the polls to pick nominees in some of the most consequential races up for grabs this year.

 

Illinois is the ninth most gambling-addicted state, according to a study by a personal finance website. The state also is tied with five others in the country for most gambling-related arrests.

 

Miss America will no longer make contestants parade on stage in swimsuits and will stop referring to itself as a pageant – an effort to move the 97-year-old event forward in the #MeToo era after its upper ranks were rocked by scandal.
