Former National Security Adviser Mike Flynn has told the Senate Intelligence Committee he is willing to be interviewed about the Trump campaign’s possible ties to Russia in return for immunity from prosecution. Flynn’s lawyer suggested fears of being caught up in a “witch hunt.” Lt. Col. Cedric Leighton, a military intelligence expert who served on the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the National Security Council joined Dan and Amy with reaction:

House Speaker Paul Ryan told a news conference on Thursday he shares President Trump’s frustration with conservative Republicans who prevented passage of a bill that would have partially repealed and replaced Obamacare. On Thursday morning, Trump tweeted: “The Freedom Caucus will hurt the entire Republican agenda if they don’t get on the team, & fast. Former Obama administration official Evelyn Farkas talked to CNBC to elaborate controversial comments she made in an appearance on Morning Joe about surveillance on the Trump for president campaign. Farkas’ remarks, originally made in early March, are making waves this week as accusations of Russian influence on the 2016 U.S. presidential election are being investigated.

 

A pair of White House officials helped provide Representative Devin Nunes of California with the intelligence reports that showed that President Trump and his associates were incidentally swept up in foreign surveillance by American spy agencies.

On Thursday afternoon, the Senate voted 51-50 to overturn that rule the Obama administration’s the Department of Health and Human Services enacted to stop states from defunding Planned Parenthood. Vice President Pence cast the tie-breaking vote.

 

One traveling father used great seats at Friday’s Cleveland Cavaliers-Charlotte Hornets game in Charlotte to call out his son on national television for not cutting it in the classroom. He was spotted on TV holding up a sign reading: “Thomas get your grades back up and next time you’ll be here, Love, Dad.”
