Bret Baier: Trump ‘Opened The Door’ To Fallen Soldiers Controversy

White House chief of staff John Kelly, in an extraordinary and at times emotional statement Thursday, said he was “stunned” by what Democratic congresswoman Fredrica Wilson told reporters after she listened in on President Donald Trump’s call to the widow of a fallen soldier.

Trump denied Wilson’s account in both a tweet and a statement made at the White House.

While Kelly did not contradict Wilson’s account, he suggested her decision to speak out about the conversation “eroded a great deal” the sacrifice of men and women in uniform.

Fox News anchor Bret Baier told Dan and Amy that President Trump opened the door to the controversy dominating cable news this week when he pointed to past presidents’ approach to contacting the families of fallen soldiers:
