Dan Eldridge is the owner of Maxon Shooter’s Supplies and Indoor Range in Des Plaines. He joined Dan and Amy to talk about the state legislature’s plan to put tighter restrictions on gun stores in the state.

Fox News Anchor Bret Baier is hosting special coverage of the James Comey firing this Sunday at 7pm. He joined Dan and Amy with reaction to the Comey announcement, and also talked about what will happen next with health care reform in the US Senate:

In a change from the statements from the rest of the administration, including Vice President Pence, President Trump told Lester Holt on Thursday that he was preparing to fire FBI Director James Comey regardless of recommendations from the attorney general and deputy attorney general.

 

Governor Rauner was in Chicago Thursday to announce jobs coming to the South Side. But his day started on a sour note at Chicago State University, where he was booed during the graduation ceremony.

 

Steve Harvey has confirmed ordering his talk show staff not to approach him—and he says it was necessary. The Steve Harvey Show host told Entertainment TonightThursday that he had always tried to be an approachable boss, but some people were “taking advantage” of the policy.

 

A controversial billboard depicting President Donald Trump as a Nazi was funded with taxpayer dollars and was commissioned by an “arts advocate” paid by a U.S. city to “diminish barriers.

 

Also, a look at property taxes on Chicago’s North Side.

 

A group of North and Northwest Side aldermen are asking to bring Section 8 housing into their wards to combat what they call segregation and gentrification. The ordinance also asks the CHA to provide reports to the Committee on Housing and Real Estate on, among other things, the agency’s available funds, available housing in each ward and its progress on building replacement public housing across all neighborhoods.
