The House of Representatives passed a bill to repeal and replace ObamaCare on Thursday. The passage marked Republicans’ biggest step yet toward replacing the Obama administration’s signature domestic policy law. The bill heads next to the Senate.
President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday meant to allow churches and other religious organizations to become more active politically, though the actual implications of the document appeared limited. The order, which Trump inked during a ceremony in the White House Rose Garden, directs the IRS not to take “adverse action” against churches and other tax-exempt religious organizations participating in political activity that stops short of an endorsement of a candidate for office.
A Southern California father said he and his family were booted from a Delta flight after they declined to give up a seat. The family had bought the ticket for their teenage son and were attempting to use it for his 2-year-old sibling. The argument escalated to the point where a Delta employee told them they could be thrown in jail and their children placed in foster care.
