Mitch McConnell for Wall Street Journal: The Senate’s bill will help small businesses and families while promoting energy independence.

Larry Kudlow for National Review: I’d vote for it, and so should you.

U.S. President Donald Trump defended his disgraced former national security adviser Michael Flynn on Saturday, saying that the basis of a special prosecutor’s actions against the former general were “lawful” and above board — even as he acknowledged Flynn had lied to federal officials.

A top FBI agent at the center of both the Clinton email and Trump-Russia investigations was removed from Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team for exchanging derogatory text messages about the president with a colleague.

ABC News has announced that Brian Ross would be suspended for four weeks without pay “effective immediately.” Ross came under considerable fire on Friday after he erroneously reported on live television that then-candidate Donald Trump had instructed Michael Flynn to make contact with the Russians. In a correction seven hours later, the channel admitted that it was “President-elect” Trump who had made the request of Flynn — a pretty significant difference.
