The battle over education funding in Illinois is heating up. Republicans are gearing up to get enough votes to protect Rauner’s amendatory veto which promises more money for all districts across the state. But Democrats take issue with the Governor’s promise, saying it’s an apples to oranges comparison. Illinois State Senator Jason Barickman joined Dan and Amy to talk about Senate Bill 1 and the battle over education funding:

On Friday, Sean Spicer resigned as White House Press Secretary after Anthony Scaramucci was announced as the new Communications Director. Scaramucci wasted no time, showing up on three of the Sunday Talk Shows. David Drucker, Chief Political Correspondent for the Washington Examiner joined Dan and Amy with reaction to the White House shakeup:

As Donald Trump Jr. prepares to meet with the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, he’s turning to a lawyer who has deep connections inside Washington’s sprawling investigatory apparatus for help.

 

Donald Trump Jr. and Paul Manafort will not testify under oath when they appear before the Senate Committee on the Judiciary to answer questions in connection with Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

 

Charlie Gard’s parents appeared in court again Friday to discuss the next step in his case. In the course of the hearing, British high court Justice Francis said their son cannot be moved to the United States for treatment without a court order.
