A New York Times article from the weekend stated Vice President Mike Pence and other Republicans are planning a 2020 run if Trump does not seek a second term. Pence denied the report as “disgraceful” and called them an “attempt by the media to divide this administration.” David Drucker, Senior Political Correspondent for the Washington Examiner joined Dan and Amy with reaction:

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and N.J. Gov. Chris Christie on Sunday tempered news reports about special counsel Robert Mueller impaneling another grand jury in his Russia meddling-collusion case, suggesting the move doesn’t mean the investigation is expanding or perhaps an indictment is now imminent. Former Chief Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew McCarthy joined Dan and Amy with reaction to the latest twists and turns in the story:

A vegan cafe in Australia charges male customers 18 percent ‘man tax’ and seats women first in bid to address gender pay gap. The owners hope the move will provoke people into discussing unfair treatment of women.

“Beleaguered” Attorney General Jeff Sessions is officially out of the Trump doghouse. Breaking a string of social media rebukes against Sessions, the president issued a tweet Saturday afternoon praising his AG for getting tough on White House leaks.

If special counsel Robert Mueller finds any crime outside the scope of the federal investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election, then he’ll have to seek permission, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said Sunday.
