The Trump administration has outlined its new tax reform proposal, which leans heavily on tax cuts. Michael Tanner, a Senior Fellow for the Cato Institute and author of “Going for Broke: Deficits, Debt and the Entitlement Crisis”

New legislation in Springfield would bar employers from asking for salary history. This is intended to fight wage discrimination against women. Dr. Amy Farmer Derick is a Dermatologist and small business owner. She joined Dan and Amy with reaction to the proposed law:

The White House on Wednesday unveiled President Donald Trump’s tax cut plan, which includes repeal of the death tax and the alternative minimum tax and the reduction of the seven tax brackets down to only three.

 

Ann Coulter said Wednesday that she is canceling her planned speech at the University of California, Berkeley, because she had lost the backing of conservative groups that had initially sponsored her appearance.

 

Bill Nye dedicated the 13th and final episode of the first season of Bill Nye Saves The World to discussing overpopulation and how the world’s population has grown rapidly since he was a child. After it was pointed out that in Niger people tend to have large families but relatively low carbon footprints, it was agreed that this was permissible. Then, Nye dropped this rather curious zinger: “So should we have policies that penalize people for having extra kids in the developed world?”

 

ESPN handed out pink slips on Wednesday in one of the worst rounds of layoffs in their history. SI reported on Wednesday morning that the number of ESPN on-air and online staffers losing jobs was around 100, though it was impossible to confirm an exact number. Over the course of the day on Wednesday, a number of staffers announced via social media that they had been let go.
