Wednesday was the final day of the regular spring legislative session, but the Democrat-controlled House and Senate failed to approve a budget. Illinois State Representative Jeanne Ives from the 42nd district joined Dan and Amy to talk about the Springfield shenanigans:

President Trump is expected to announce Thursday that he has decided to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris Agreement. CNN Senior Economist Stephen Moore joined Dan and Amy to talk about what pulling out of the agreement could mean for the US economy:

A huge suicide bomb ripped through a secure area of Kabul at the height of the Wednesday morning rush hour, killing at least 90 people and wounding 400. Fox News Strategic Analyst Lt. Col. Ralph Peters joined Dan and Amy with reaction:

CNN has fired Kathy Griffin from their annual New Year’s Eve program, which she co-hosted with anchor Anderson Cooper. The network made the announcement via Twitter Wednesday morning.

 

The House Intelligence Committee has reportedly issued seven subpoenas in connection with its investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election and of the Obama administration’s potentially illegal use of the government’s foreign-intelligence-collection power for the purpose of monitoring Americans — in particular, Americans connected to the Trump campaign and transition. The news was broken Wednesday afternoon by the Wall Street Journal.

 

President Trump is expected to announce Thursday that he has decided to withdraw the U.S. from the Paris Agreement, the move would likely enjoy broad support among Republican voters.

 

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg thinks there’s a “55 percent chance” President Trump will be reelected in 2020.

 

Hillary Clinton has been very critical of President Donald Trump in the months after her election loss, but Wednesday she went off on the DNC’s data operation during the election too. She said she “inherited nothing” from the DNC, and the GOP’s data operation was miles ahead of them.
