President Trump on Wednesday delivered an address on his “principles” for a tax plan in Springfield, Missouri on Route 66. Fox News Contributor and former Donald Trump adviser Steve Cortes joined Dan and Amy with reaction to the new plan:

Americans on average spent more on taxes in 2016 than they did on food and clothing combined, according to data released this week by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

 

Nearly half of the country believes the news media poses an equal or greater threat to the nation as white supremacists, according to a new Fox News poll out Wednesday. The poll found that 47 percent of registered voters think white supremacists are a greater threat, 40 percent think the news media is, and nine percent believe both are equal threats.

 

The U.S. economy grew faster than initially thought in the second quarter, notching its quickest pace in more than two years, and there are signs that the momentum was sustained at the start of the third quarter.

Administrators at The Evergreen State College have announced that the embattled school faces a massive $2.1 million budget shortfall due in part to a drop in enrollment, and the institution has already handed out some temporary layoff notices as officials grapple with balancing the books.

 

The Los Angeles City Council voted Wednesday to swap its Columbus Day holiday with “Indigenous Peoples Day.” Supporters of the decision to rename the holiday claimed that Christopher Columbus did not deserve to be celebrated due to his ties to slavery and violence.

 

Planned Parenthood’s social media manager tweeted out a question to followers Tuesday night asking about their dating deal breakers, and the responses were nothing short of unexpected and amazing. Daily Caller has the details.
