The president said this would put an end to the “war on coal” and “job-killing regulations”. White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer is taking some heat for an exchange he had Tuesday with April Ryan of American Urban Radio Networks. When talking about the Russia investigation, Spicer told Ryan to stop shaking her head. Now some are saying the comment was sexist.
Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch’s team is mounting a multi-pronged final push to persuade Senate Democrats to support the judge’s confirmation ahead of next week’s Senate vote on his bid. Gorsuch’s team told the Washington Examiner he will meet with six more senators this week ahead of next week’s vote.
President Trump told a gathering of senators on Tuesday that he expects a “deal” on healthcare to happen “very quickly.” Though both Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan initially indicated a pivot to tax reform, Trump has since tweeted about how Obama will “explode” and lawmakers will come together for a “great healthcare plan.”
A mother who asked TSA agents at DFW International Airport for alternative screening for her son with special needs said they were “treated like dogs” and forced to miss a flight during an extensive security check, according to her Facebook post that has since gone viral. An accompanying video shows a TSA agent patting down her son. The agent pats down his backside before moving to his front. She writes in the post they were kept for more than hour in the “horrifying” incident.
A Canadian provincial government has withdrawn a man’s eponymous personalized vehicle license plate, saying Lorne Grabher’s surname is offensive to women when viewed on his car bumper.
