The 22-year-old behind the deadly bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester was known to security services. Col. Cedric Leighton a military intelligence expert and security consultant who served on the Joint Chief’s of Staff and the National Security Council joined Dan and Amy with reaction:

Illinois Senate Democrats on Tuesday opted to go their own way and passed a politically risky measure to hike the income tax and expand the sales tax. State Representative Jeanne Ives from the 42nd district joined Dan and Amy with reaction:

President Trump will seek to balance the federal budget partly by cutting congressional appropriations, other than defense, by 2 percent every year. People in Congress on both sides of the aisle are already saying the proposal is “dead on arrival.” CNN Senior Economist Stephen Moore joined Dan and Amy with reaction:

Parents of a high school student in Naperville who committed suicide are blaming school officials. He was confronted by school officials over a recording on his cell phone and told that if he did not hand it over, he would be arrested and have to register as a sexual offender even though he had never been in any trouble before.

 

Chicago Teachers Union president Karen Lewis said Tuesday that the teachers pension fund has serious financial problems, but that teachers aren’t to blame. She put the blame on Forrest Claypool and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos.

 

The election is over, but Russian interference in American politics continues, former CIA Director John Brennan told the House intelligence committee on Tuesday.
