Chicago Teachers Union President Stacy Davis Gates never misses an opportunity to reinforce her public perception as a demagogue, and her recent interview with WBBM-AM’s Craig Dellimore was no exception.
Davis Gates was asked to respond to criticism of CTU’s latest contract demands, which would end up costing taxpayers close to $10 billion. She made the bizarre claim that conservatives don’t want black children to learn to read.
Unlike WBBM’s Dellimore, who let the claim go unchallenged, Dan Proft called Davis Gates out her the absurdity of her claim and her hypocrisy, as she sends her child to a private school.
Davis Gates initially replied to Proft’s post, writing “Hot dogs holler.”
Without explanation, she deleted her response.
