The president told reporters aboard Air Force One that he is considering pardons or commutations for Stewart and Blagojevich; earlier, after he tweeted his plan to pardon D’Souza earlier in the day.

 

Patricia Blagojevich responded to Trump’s tease that her husband may soon be home. She then added that she’s been disappointed before. Trump, though, she added, is giving her hope that this time it may work out.

 

State Rep. Lou Lang, D-Skokie, resigned from his position as House Deputy Majority Leader and left his spot on the Legislative Ethics Commission, which investigates wrongdoing by lawmakers.

 

Canada said Thursday that the U.S. would be hit with $12.8 billion in tariffs on steel, aluminum, and other products such as beer and whiskey, in retaliation for the U.S. lifting an exemption for the country from its new tariffs on steel and aluminum.

 

At least two sponsors have pulled advertisements from TBS’s “Full Frontal With Samantha Bee,” after she called Ivanka Trump a vulgar name on Wednesday night. Bee made her remarks while attacking Ivanka for not stopping her father’s immigration policies.  “I would like to sincerely apologize to Ivanka Trump and to my viewers for using an expletive on my show to describe her last night,” Bee said in her apology tweet.
