The Justice Department is offering lawmakers a new look at classified documents next week on the FBI’s use of an informant in the Russia investigation. Three senior Republicans who have been briefed on the matter, including House Speaker Paul Ryan, have now said they have not seen evidence that the FBI acted inappropriately.

 

House Speaker Paul Ryan said at his Thursday press briefing that the Justice Department must comply with congressional committee requests for documents in the ongoing investigation of potential malfeasance at the FBI, and he stressed that no evidence has been produced showing collusion between the 2016 Trump campaign and Russia.

 

Illinois now has the worst credit rating in the municipal bond market. Moody’s Investment Services pegs Illinois’ debt at Baa3, and it could further downgrade that credit rating later in 2018.

 

‘For Sale’ signs will soon be a thing of the past on homes in New Canaan, Connecticut. A six-month trial ban starts July 1, meaning those signs you see in front of houses will have to be taken down.

 

Richard Madaleno, a Democratic candidate in Maryland’s gubernatorial race, made history on Thursday by airing the first political TV campaign ad to feature a same-sex kiss.
