Voters in Pennsylvania’s 18th congressional district tomorrow elect a new member of Congress. It’s a surprisingly close race in this reliably-Republican district between Democratic former prosecutor Conor Lamb, and Republican state legislator Rick Saccone. Washington Examiner reporter Salena Zito just happens to live in the district and joined Dan and Amy with a preview:

Michael Rubin is a resident scholar for the American Enterprise Institute and author of “Dancing with the Devil” and “Kurdistan Rising.” He joined Dan and Amy with reaction to the announcement that there could be direct talks between the United States and North Korea:

President Donald Trump spoke at a rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday night to support a GOP congressional candidate before the state’s special election — and it was a tour de force return to his greatest campaign trail hits, replete with jabs at the media, proclamations about North Korea and insults lobbed at his political rivals.

Trump also took a swipe at NBC News political director Chuck Todd at the rally in in Pennsylvania on Saturday night to support a GOP congressional candidate before the state’s special election.

In an interview Sunday, NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’ host Chuck Todd repeatedly asked Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin about the president’s attitude, language, and word choice.

The Edgar County Watchdogs have released emails from Rauner campaign staffer Nachama Soloveichik, a Washington, D.C.-based campaign consultant running the re-election of Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner

The White House is expected to release a plan that would urge states to consider raising the age to buy certain firearms and would recommend that states allow school staffers to carry concealed weapons.

A student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania was recently barred from attending a religious studies class that he needs in order to graduate after he questioned his instructor’s claims regarding the “reality of white male privilege.” Lake Ingle said he objected to some of the claims made in a video featuring a transgender woman, and countered by arguing that there are only two genders and that the “gender wage gap” is a myth.
