The confirmation hearing for Brett Kavanaugh will get a little more dramatic next Monday, when the accused, Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, and his accuser, California professor Christine Blasey Ford, are due to appear before a Senate committee to address accusations that he sexually assaulted her in the 1980s.

 

Bill Daley formally announced Monday that he will run for a job once held by his father and his brother — the same day that sources confirm that Toni Preckwinkle and Jesus (Chuy) Garcia will also join the Chicago mayor’s race this week.

 

CNN’s Jake Tapper asks Democratic congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez exactly how she plans to pay for her proposed spending plan that would cost $40 trillion over 10 years.

 

Authorities received a call Sunday from a concerned parent at Wilmette Junior High School who had discovered loaded firearms in a child’s bedroom. Wilmette police said officers showed up, collected the weapons and took the boy to a “secure facility for treatment.”
