The government watchdogs at Project Six have released a new report that shows how little information Chicago requires elected officials and candidates to disclose regarding their finances or their families finances. These disclosures are the easiest and most straight-forward way for oversight agencies, the media and taxpayers to make sure the cities elected leaders don’t have conflicts of interest and are actually working for the best interests of taxpayers–not their pocket books.
