Maine Businessman Refuses to Serve Trump Voters

Michael Turner owns Turner LP Gas in Skowhegan, Maine. He’s apparently not a big fan of Donald Trump or the voters of Maine who supported Trump. He’s so upset that he’s refusing to deliver propane to anyone who voted for Trump. That’s the message potential customers heard when they called the business:

If you voted for Donald Trump for president, I will no longer be delivering your gas. Please find someone else.

Turner told The Bangor Daily News what he thinks about Trump:

I think he’s the Antichrist … He’s surrounding himself with white supremacists, racists, and now he’s got a bunch of generals going into his cabinet. I wouldn’t be surprised if he pulled a Fidel Castro: Declare martial law and take over.

The good news for residents of his Maine community is that Turner is taking a “don’t-ask-don’t-tell” policy when it comes to deliver much-needed propane to his neighbors this winter:

If you voted for Trump, don’t tell me and I wouldn’t cut anyone off that was freezing.

If Turner follows through on his threats, he may have a lot of spare time on his hands this winter. Somerset County, where his business is located, gave 58 percent of its vote to Trump.

What’s especially ironic about Turner’s threat is that it sounds a lot like the stances taken by Christian florists and bakers across the country who have been smeared as bigots because of their reluctance to provide services for same-sex weddings.

But I guess if you’re an angry anti-Trump propane dealer in Maine, you can get away with it.
