Dan Proft and Amy Jacobson spoke with Ramona T. Bonilla-Anaiel, Chief Union Steward with Chicago Public Schools and a member of the SEIU Local 73 bargaining team, about the ongoing contract negotiations between the union and the city, and being targeted because of social media posts.
Ramona, who also serves as the elected Republican Committeewoman for Chicago’s 31st Ward, offered a unique perspective from both inside the union and the city’s political landscape. She discussed the key issues on the table—from wages and staffing to safety and support services—as well as what union members are pushing for in these talks.
