America is preparing military options in case sanctions imposed on North Korea fail, according to the most senior general in the US armed forces. The Illinois Senate may have voted to override Gov. Bruce Rauner’s amendatory veto of a bill that rewrites the school funding formula, but that doesn’t mean a resolution of the issue is imminent. The White House said President Trump “of course” condemns white supremacists after failing to do so during a short speech following the death of a 32-year-old woman Saturday in Charlottesville, Va. Trump is taking head for condemning violence “from all sides” rather than condemning the protesters.

The Illinois State Board of Education, or ISBE, on Aug. 12 released the results of Gov. Bruce Rauner’s amendatory veto of Senate Bill 1, a school funding plan. The results are favorable to an overwhelming number of school districts across the state.
