Authorities have identified 64-year-old Stephen Paddock of Mesquite, Nevada, as the suspected gunman in the massacre that left 59 dead and more than 500 wounded Sunday night at a Las Vegas casino.
Stephen Paddock, the suspected shooter in the attack on concertgoers in Las Vegas on Sunday was the son of a famous criminal. His estranged father, Benjamin Hoskins Paddock, was a notorious bank robber who spent years as one of the country’s most wanted fugitives.
A top legal executive at CBS, Hayley Geftman-Gold, said she “is not even sympathetic” for the victims of the shooting at a country music festival at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas Sunday night. She has since been fired.
Musician Tom Petty died on Monday at the age of 66. There was some confusing news coverage of Petty’s condition throughout the day before his death was finally confirmed.
