Daily Show Notes: Monday 1-17-22

The armed gunman who took members of a synagogue near Forth Worth, Texas hostage Saturday, has been identified as a 44-year-old British national named Malik Faisal Akram. Dan and Amy shard their reaction.

Hundreds of Chicago Public Schools students walked out of classes on Friday, and a group of students later blocked traffic in the Loop protesting the decision to resume in-person learning.

Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin will join the Republican primary contest for governor. Dan is less than impressed with Irvin’s record.
